The chain would eat through the tape so thats why I taped it like a hockey stick, so it'd last longer. This picture is 3 years old, I've smartened up and the tape has been replaced by an old tube and zip ties.

Omg!! I know! People shouldnt brake so much in the 7.. or any other trail for that matter. I find that the more difficult trails are easier on the body because they arent as damaged
